€53,952 for communities across Roscommon Galway under the Peatlands Community Initiative.

My colleague, Minister for Culture, Heritage and Gaeltacht, Josepha Madigan T.D. has informed me that she is making funding available to the following groups:

Cloonsellan Abbey Conservation Group- €11,252- enhancements to the Clooncraff bog road including interpretive signage.

Kilteevan Tidy Towns- €20,000- installation of a new board walk.

Mount Allen Residents- €7,700- the completion of restoration works and the installation of water monitors.

Glenamaddy Tidy Towns- €15,000- upgrade walking trails at Frass Clooncon bog.

This funding will provide a very positive boost for these communities who are working to preserve and enhance the natural environment around them. These projects, once completed have the potential to become a major asset as part of Ireland's Hidden Heartlands, given the unique natural environment that we have in this region.

€46,213.50 in LEADER Funding for Ballinasloe Town Hall Theatre. I have received confirmation from Minister Michael Ring this morning that this funding has been approved by his Department.

I have been working very closely with Ballinasloe Town Hall Theatre committee over the past number of years. Having attended many events in the Town Hall, I know first hand the great work that has been done by the committee in recent years.

This funding will allow them to continue upgrading the building. It provides for the installation of a new gas boiler and upgrades to toilet and kitchen facilities.
