Minister Ring met with members of the Board of Management and Car Park Committee of Carrick National School in Ballinlough on Saturday last 21st September 2019. The purpose of this visit was to view plans for a car parking facility at the school.  €50,000 was approved by Minister Michael Ring in CLAR funding recently.


Senator Maura Hopkins who worked with committee members on this project stated “the provision of this carpark is absolutely necessary to improve safety at the school in relation to parking, drop-off and collection of pupils.” 


“A huge amount of work has been completed by the members of the carpark committee along with the Board of Management to deliver a safer car parking facility.  Planning permission has been granted for this development. Significant fundraising has taken place to finance this project through the Aisling Duggan Memorial Fund. I continue to work with the committee and Board of Management on this project.”
