Fine Gael Senator Maura Hopkins has stated that the announcement of €735,731 in funding today (Friday 15thNovember) for clubs and organisations under the Sports Capital Programme across Co. Roscommon and Co. Galway is a very welcome boost.
Senator Hopkins stated, “I have met with representatives from many clubs and organisations within the county who work so hard on a voluntary basis to further improve their facilities. It is vital that we support our local clubs and teams in the great work they do and these sports capital grants are essential in supporting this work in our communities.”
“I have brought Minister for Tourism and Sport, Brendan Griffin T.D. to Roscommon and Galway on a number of occasions in recent months.
